Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Wayne “Possum” Blalock will be held Monday at 1pm in the chapel of Webb & Stephens Funeral Home North. Rev. Randy Caldwell will be officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant UMC cemetery on Liberty 493 in Kemper County. The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – North are honored to serve the family during this difficult time.

Jerry Wayne (Possum) Blalock, age 51, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Rush Hospital in Meridian. He was born September 17, 1970, in Dekalb, to Robert Lee and Shirley Faye Blalock. Wayne truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, racing, and watching monster truck shows. Wayne was a very outgoing person who strived to make everyone he encountered smile. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Blalock and Jerry Bryce Blalock; daughters, Tiffanie Nowell, Ashley (Trevor) Bunyard, Braylee Blalock; siblings, Pat Blalock, Mary Ann Blalock, Scott (Victoria) Blalock, Steve Blalock, Micheal Blalock; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee Blalock and Shirley Faye Blalock; brother Tony Blalock; sister-in-law Krystal Blalock.

Pallbearers will be Robert Dodd, David Deason, James Chandler and Chester Goudy.

The family will receive friends from 11am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
