A memorial service for Stephen Dewayne Locklear will be held Saturday at 10 am at Stephens Funeral Home. Rev. James Gordon will be officiating.
Mr. Locklear, 60, of Meridian, passed away at his residence on Sunday.
He retired from Waters International where he served over 20 years as a diesel mechanic. Mr. Locklear was very passionate about his work and enjoyed his job. He also enjoyed deer hunting during his spare time. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a volunteer firefighter for Bailey Fire Department.
Mr. Locklear is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Wanda Snowden Locklear; a special nephew who is like a son Kameron Branning; brothers Lex Locklear and Chad Locklear (Jan); sister Marlene Alawine (Chris) and step-mother Merle Locklear.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Ray Locklear; mother Sandra Pulliam Locklear; son Joshua; brothers Bryan Haguewood and Tony Haguewood.
Visitation will be 9am to10am Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorials be made to Quality Hospice in Philadelphia, MS.
