Steven Bowman

A memorial service for Mr. Steven Paul Bowman will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Righteous Oaks in Chunky, MS.

Mr. Bowman, 68, of Chunky, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his residence.

He was born on November 11, 1953 in Fairfield, CA.

Paul graduated from Picayune High School. His father served in the Army Air Core, Air Force, and in the Army during WW2. He was a “military brat” and lived in many places including Tokyo, Japan, Greenland, California, Picayune, MS, Slidell, LA, Illinois, and Chunky, MS, where he spent the last 15 years serving the Lord with the Ministry at Righteous Oaks. He spent over 30 years in the grocery industry as a skilled butcher, working for Delchamps and Winn-Dixie. Paul was a natural athlete with a passion for hunting and fishing. He was an avid football fan, cheering for the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys. He also shared a birthday with his granddaughter, Kayla. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Daniel Paul Bowman and Carla Bowman Trahan (Adam); grandchildren, Kayla Waters and Daniel Wyatt Bowman; great grandchildren, Kinsley and Hudson Waters; brother, Joseph Bowman (Melinda); and sister, Diane Bowman-Mitchell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. and Selma Nicholson Bowman; and brother, Robert Bowman Jr.
