Alene F. ( Mama B) Brannen, a resident of Josephene, AL and a former resident of Meridian passed away peacefully on Monday July 9, 2018.
Born January 3, 1918 in Oneonta, AL to Samuel Lee & Loyce Gunnell Freeman, who preceded her in death along with her husband Ret. Army Capt. William A. "Bill" Brannen, brothers, Obie, Aldie, Aubrey, Samuel Jr, Connie B, Z J, sisters Irene F Flynt, Irma F Jackson, and Tellie F Davis.
Mama B is survived by sisters Elmira "Tug" Cruise and Loradell Nixon, two children Samuel A Brannen (Jane) of Lafayette, La, Sara B Lindsey (Spidle) of Josephene Al, three grandchildren, Brock Hill, Meridian, MS, Josh & Katie Brannen, Baton Rouge La, and two great grandchildren Haylen Olivia Hill and Jasper Brannen.
The family will welcome friends Friday July 13, 10am at James F Webb Funeral Home with services at 11. Interment will held at Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Hwy 39.
