Anita Clark

Anita “Faye” Clark, age 87 passed away Tuesday July 19th, 2022 in Ocean Springs, MS.

Faye Clark was born in DeKalb MS on 9/30/34. She was and only child and fondly spoke of her family and childhood memories. She was a cheerleader at DeKalb High School, and then studied business at East Mississippi Junior College where she was offered a Scholarship through her musical talents. She was accomplished at piano and the organ and loved to listen to music. She married and moved to the Mississippi Gulf coast around 1959 eventually moving to Ocean Springs and attending First Baptist Church.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Harold Wayne Clark (parents George and Reba Clark also of DeKalb), her father Willie Holmes Waddell, mother Mittie Lee Waddell, and infant daughter Karen Faye Clark. Survivors include her 3 children David W. Clark (Cindy), Leanne Clark Woodward (Dennis) and Kim Clark Lawrence (Jeff) and grandchildren Brett, Kristen (Jacob), Aaron, Allison, Katelin, Cheryl, Jessica, Jason (Autumn) and Amber as well as many loving great grandchildren and her beloved kitty Inka.

Funeral Services for Faye Clark will be this Saturday July 23rd at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church located Highway 39 DeKalb, MS. Visitation at 12 with Funeral Service beginning at 1PM followed by funeral procession to Rush Cemetery for internment at 2PM.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and assistance with special thanks to the caregivers at Living Grace and Traditions Hospice for their excellent care.
