Arthur Noel

Private services are to be held for Arthur J. "Art" Noel.

Mr. Noel, age 82, of Collinsville, and formerly of Bremen and Rochester, Indiana, passed away November 12 at his home, surrounded by family.

He was born May 1, 1936, in New Buffalo, Michigan to the late Carl B. and Mary A. (Feitz) Noel. Art grew up on a farm in Madison Township and attended Madison High School. Upon graduation, he joined the US Air Force and served his country honorably from 1954-1958. He met the love of his life, Betty L. Garner, in Phoenix, Arizona and they were married November 15, 1955. After his discharge from the Air Force, they returned to Bremen and built their family home close to his parent's farm. They relocated to Rochester in 1984 where they lived until Betty's death in 2011. In 2013, Art moved from Rochester, eventually settling in Collinsville, Mississippi to live with his daughter.

Art was a good husband and father, and worked hard to provide for his family. For thirty years, he managed several grocery stores and worked in car sales and at McDonald's. He will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his legacy and memory are his children, Deb Adams, of Collinsville, Barb BeMiller and her husband, Bob, of Goshen, IN, Laurie Noel and Mary Noel, both of Manchester, TN, Carla VanLue and her husband, Larry, of Collinsville, MS, and Arthur C. Noel, of Phoenix, AZ;twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
