Mrs. Avis Colene Myers

Services for Mrs. Colene Myers will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Boles and Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. Interment will be in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 5 - 8 p.m.

Mrs. Myers, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Queen City Nursing Center. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church in Meridian, MS.

She is survived by her son, Tommy L. Meyers and his wife Sandra of Meridian, MS; two daughters, Jean Garrett and her husband L.A. of Meridian, MS and Debbie Lindsey and her husband Mike of Meridian, MS; One step daughter, Patsey Bonds and her husband Lex of Jackson, MS. She is also survived by one brother, James Edwards and his wife Laura of Mobile, AL and Nine 9 grandchildren and Fifteen 15 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Paulene Edwards and by her husband, Coy Lee Myers.

Pallbearers will be Butch Garrett, Paul James, Jerry McKee, Wesley Thompson, Doug Olsen, and Wayne Booker.
