Funeral services for Barbara Ann Brown will be Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00, at Center Ridge Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS. Brother Cliff Barker and Brother Harvey Troutman will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 at the church. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – Dekalb has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Ms. Brown, 83, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Rush Hospital. She served for many years as Deputy Clerk in the Kemper County Tax Assessor’s office. She was beloved by all who crossed paths with her. She loved to travel and to read. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was very involved in her church, Center Ridge Baptist, serving in various positions including choir director.

Barbara is survived by her sister Nancy B. Moore of Decatur, MS; nephews James Milton Moore III of Atlanta, GA, Dr. Jon Moore of Birmingham, AL, and Thomas Moore of Portland, OR; her Uncle Donald McWilliams of Meridian, MS and her Aunt Betty McWilliams of Daleville, AL, along with numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lelia and Glen Brown and her brother-in-law Jim Moore.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Smith, Dave Waters, Todd Brown, Harry McWilliams, Bruce Crain, Jeff McWilliams, Jerry McWilliams, Tommy Ethridge, Joey Ethridge, and Chip Sorrels.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Center Ridge Baptist Church c/o Sandra Warren at 768 Leslie Warren Road, DeKalb, MS  39328.
