Mr. Billy D. Brooks
Services for Billy D. Brooks will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Graveside at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Vick officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Soule Chapel Church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brooks, 68, of Dalewood, was retired from Roadway. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his Children, William "BJ" Brooks and his wife Christy, Tammy Stevens and her husband Rocky, Misty Strickland and her husband William; Grandchildren, Brenley and Kayden Stevens, Abby Rose, Cailea Johnson, Brandy Durham, Brooke Walters, and Whitney Stapp; Girlfriend, Patty Walling; Aunts, Texa Ray Reynolds, Pamelia Gentry, and Francis Moore; and by his special pets, Poochie and Shorty.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Step Father, Carolyn and James Karnes; A very special Uncle, Walter Beal Moore; Uncles, W.C. Moore and R.C. Moore.
Pallbearers will be Chris Swearingen, Tony Miller, Logan Miller, Barry Vandevender, Robert "Chico" Oswalt, and Robert D. Oswalt.
