Mr. Billy Seals Fields

Services for Billy Seals Fields will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Meridian, MS with Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. A time of visitation at Webbs will be Monday evening from 5:007:00 p.m. The burial will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Columbus, MS Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. James F. Webb Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Fields, 78, originally of Columbus and later of Meridian, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 10, 2013 during his stay at Golden Living Center in Meridian.

Mr. Fields was born on December 5, 1934 to the late Bill and Bertha Fields. He attended New Hope School before joining the United States Air Force and serving his country in the Korean Conflict. He and his wife, Doris Fields, originally of Amory, MS, have made their home in Meridian, MS since 1981. Mr. Fields served his Lord through Midway Baptist Church, Meridian, MS. As a career, Mr. Fields worked with Smiths Bakery and Builders Transport before retiring in 1997 due to health issues.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Fields of Meridian sister, Doris McAdams and her husband Lacy of Ethelsville, AL daughter, Marsha Fields Ramia and her husband Joe Ramia of Meridian son, Michael Fields and his wife Liz of Minneapolis, MN and daughter, Becca Fields Cummins of Nashville, TN grandchildren, Lacey Fields, Anna Fields, Victoria Fields, Barrett Ramia, Savannah Cummins, Katie Grace Cummins, Michael Cummins, and Anniston Cummins greatgrandchildren, Madisyn Smiley, Braidyn Williamson, and Kaitlynn Poe nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bertha Fields and his brother, James Sonny Fields.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Benevolence Fund at Midway Baptist Church, Meridian, MS.

Pallbearers will be Joe Ramia, Barrett Ramia, Joel Harrison, Flint Tedder, Steven Sullivan, and Jeff Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of his Sunday School class at Midway Baptist Church.
