Graveside services for Bobbie Jean McQueen will be held Thursday at 10 am at Goodwater Baptist Church in Meehan. Rev. Jack Kern will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. McQueen, 80, of Meehan, passed away Monday at Poplar Springs Nursing Center.
She was a LPN graduate of Meridian Community College, working in several medical facilities in the area. Mrs. McQueen enjoyed to cook, her Saturday morning yard sales and crafting. She loved watching television and always watched Charlie Brown Christmas and The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to decorate her home for Christmas to share with family and friends.
Mrs. McQueen is survived by her sons Will McQueen (Rena), Allen McQueen (Judy), D.P. McQueen; grandchildren Cindel Mayerhoff (Matt), Jenna Davis (Brandon), Tanner McQueen, Brandon Lafferty, Bradley McQeen (Heather), Joshua McQueen, John Michael McQueen and Sam McQueen. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; Makayla Lafferty, Rannon Lafferty, Braxton McQueen, Tinsley McQueen and niece Lori Hess.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ina Inez Culpepper, husband Robert Elton McQueen and sister Linda Tanakowski.
Pallbearers will be Tanner McQueen, John Michael McQueen, Matt Mayerhoff, Brandon Davis, Ethan Archie and Dylan Archie. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley McQueen, Josh McQueen, Brandon Lafferty, Derick Dyer and Blake Dyer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
