Bobbie Pope

Bobbie Nell Pope, 80, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 7, 2009.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service at James Webb Funeral Home in Meridian. Funeral services are at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at James Webb Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Jones, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Meridian Memorial Park.

Mrs. Pope was born on January 6, 1929 in Decatur, Ms. She was a longtime resident of Meridian and retired from Winn Dixie after 35 years of service. She was a active member of her Sunday School Class, Truth Seekers and Senior Group at Faith Baptist Church former State Boulevard for over 50 years.

Survivors include; two daughters, Darlene Luther of Denton, Texas, Pat Peavy and husband Randy of Pelahatchie; six grandchildren; Lee, Scottie, Christopher Luther, Kasey Luther Meseberg, Monica and Patrick Peavy. Nine great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Bill Pope; one brother, Billy Gene Freeman and parents, George E. Carman Tatum Freeman.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to Hometown Hospice and Hospice Ministries.
