A graveside service for Bradford Harvey Young will be held Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 am, for family at Oddfellow Cemetery in Quitman, MS, with Ron Cooper officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Brad, 47, of Meridian, passed peacefully at his home, Monday, January 18, 2021. Brad was born on June 12, 1973, to Jim Young and Gloria Sue (Singleton) Young of Meridian, MS. He graduated from Northeast Lauderdale High School in 1992. He was an insurance agent for many years for Jim Young Insurance Agency. He was a member of Grandview Church of Christ.
He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, watching college football, and cheering on his Ole Miss Rebels. He also enjoyed leading singing at church when he was able.
He is survived by his precious daughter, Anna Kathryn, who he referred to as “Pooh Bear”; sisters, Gloria Mayatt (Scottie) and Holly Hurst (Gene); nephews, Payton, Caden and Brody Mayatt, Will Parker, and Eli Hurst; aunts, Ruth Alexander and Shirley Poythress (Joe); uncles, Fletcher Singleton, Sandy Ray Singleton and Billy Priester.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Fletcher Singleton Sr. and Willie Singleton, and Tom and Hazel Young; uncles, B.G. Alexander, Tommy and Ronny Young; aunt, Suzanne Priester.
