Brenda James Nause
Services for Brenda James Nause will be held Tuesday at 11am at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nause, 69, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was originally of Butler, Alabama, and lived the majority of her life in Meridian. She was a graduate of Matty Hersee, having earned a degree in nursing, where she devoted her career to the field of surgery. She spent 47 years at Riley Memorial Hospital, later Anderson Regional Medical Center- South Campus, and University Medical Center in Jackson. Mrs. Nause loved her family, friends, and the beach.
She leaves behind her daughter, Nicole Nause; sister, Gloria Nichols; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves her grand dogs, Buddy and Lulu.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Nause; and her son, Derek Nause.
Pallbearers will be Joe Lynn, Pearce Dickson, Michael Martin, Jimmy Hoffer, Jay James, Calvin "Mack" Landrum, Thomas Molony, and Clarke Dickson. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Davidson and the many surgeons and anesthesiologists that have worked with Brenda throughout her career.
In lieu of flowers the family lovingly requests donations be made to Mississippi State University Landscape Department, Box 9725, Mississippi State, MS 39762 in memory of Christopher Derek Nause.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
