Burnise Weir

Funeral Services for Mrs. Burnise Obera Moseley Weir will be held Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Webb Chapel with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Weir, 88, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Rush Foundation Hospital after a lengthy illness. In our mamas 88 years, she loved the Father, our Creator and Redeemer, she had a special talent, that talent was loving her children just as our Heavenly Fathers mother loved him, she touched many people in her own special way, and she lived her life for God, her seven children, family, friends and will be dearly missed. Thank you, Mama.

She survived by her sister, Joyce Wallace of Mobile, AL; her daughters: Pat Nause and her husband, Pete; Shelia Price and her husband, Charlie; her sons: Lamar Weir and his wife, Kathy; Eugene Weir and his wife, Jackie; a daughter-in-law, Jackie H. Weir all of Meridian. Three special young people, Peggy and Dale Weir of Meridian and Samantha Weir of Virginia Beach, VA. Sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Martha Moseley; several sisters; her husband, Jack D. Weir; a son, Jack David Weir; two infant children; a grandchild and a great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
