Carmen Dawn Brace

     Carmen Dawn Brace, 60, of De Kalb, passed away the afternoon of May 22, 2024, at Ochsner Stennis Hospital.

     Dawn was born to William A. and Bobbie (Waddell) Brace on December 12, 1963, in Munich, Germany.  She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and an extremely generous person with a heart of gold.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

     She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Waddell Brace.

     She is survived by her sons, Jake Rush and his wife Mallory, and Jesse Rush and his wife Kayla; father, William A. “Bill” Brace; sister, Julie Allen and her husband Billy; along with three grandchildren and one on the way.

     The family will hold a memorial service honoring the life of Dawn on Sunday, May 26, 2024, beginning at 3pm at Pleasant Ridge Church in De Kalb.   All are welcome to come share their love for and memories of Dawn and her family.
