Carol Ponds

Graveside services for Carol Ponds will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 11:00 am at Bethany Baptist Church in the Whynot Community, with Dr. John Temple officiating.
Miss Ponds, 71, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017, at her home.
Carol was a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and attended business school in Meridian. She worked at several businesses in Meridian during her professional career, including Soule and USF&G. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, but in her later years attended Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. Carol spent much of the last 25 years as a caregiver for her parents and other family members. Her caring and compassionate nature and her love for her family were obvious to all who knew her.
Carol, an only child, is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Stennis and Marjorie Ponds and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by numerous cousins who will miss her bright smile.
