Cecile Dowdle

Services for Mrs. Cecile J. Dowdle will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jack Bonner officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Dowdle, of Meridian, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of 18th Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Robert L. Dowdle and his wife, Alice, of Innsbrooke, Mo.; two daughters, Debbie Jolley and her husband, Wayne, of Meridian, and Nan Eastman and her husband, Mark, of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Shine Gray of Meridian, and Lester Gray of Cuba, Ala.; a sister, Ruth Edwards of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and three sisters. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Danny Southern, Joe Eastman, Jimmy Morgan, Franklin House, Chris Vaughan and Steve Clark. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.jamesfwebb.com.
