Mr. Brown, 61, of Newton, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Birmingham.

Joe was a heavy equipment mechanic who served as a dedicated employee of Stribling Equipment/John Deere for 23 years until opening and operating his own business- Brown’s Repair Services. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He also had a strong faith and loved the Lord with all his heart. However, nothing earthly meant more to him than spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he adored. Joe never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Brown (Brittany), Ashley McCann (Jon Powell), and Adam Brown (Briana); grandchildren, Blaire and Brooklyn Brown, Allison, Julie, and Jewell Elizabeth McCann, and Lakelyn and Lane Brown; great granddaughter, Scout Lester; sisters, Deborah Stewart Rowell (David) and Sherry Stewart Bateman (Terry); and brother, Tony Woods Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey C. and Jewell Snowden Brown.

Pallbearers will include Joseph Brown, Adam Brown, Jon Powell, Jeremy Hughes, Steven Hughes, George Jackson, and Bryant Hawkins.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the family to assist with covering final expenses.
