Charles Lewis Byram, 82, of Carthage, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, November 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born to Bro. Lewis Edward and Callie Lavae’ (Jones) Byram on November 29, 1941, in Union, MS. After suffering a stroke in 2011 and regaining his health, he moved into his new home in Carthage to be closer to his daughter and her husband. He was an avid photographer, and even developed his own photos. Charles was also known to love cooking, especially between the hours of 11pm and 2am, his family fondly remembers. In the past few months, he was devoted to watching his favorite Westerns, particularly Maverick. Charles was a loving father, animal lover, special friend to all his neighbors, and will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
Charles is survived by his daughter and her husband, Ashley and Robert Alexander; and his beloved cats, Jack & Jill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bro. Lewis and Lavae’ Byram; his baby sister; and his beloved weenie dogs, Trixie and Molly.
The family will have a private service at a later date to celebrate Charles’ life well lived.
The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-Union is grateful for the opportunity to honor Charles’ life and memory and to serve his loving family during this time.
