Memorial service for Charles E. "Chuck" Fowler Sr. will be held Saturday at 12 noon at Stephens Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Followell will be officiating.
Chuck, 64, of Lauderdale, passed away Sunday at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a Methodist minister serving Pine Grove Independent Methodist Church in Lauderdale. Mr. Fowler was also a retired law enforcement officer serving several local agencies including the Meridian Police Department, Lauderdale Co. Sheriff's Department, Hickory Police Department and Miss. State University - Meridian Campus Police. He also served as Chief of Police for the town of Enterprise and Quitman Police Department.
Mr. Fowler was an avid gun collector, motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Chuck was very passionate about his family, the love he had for his wife Becki, the love and pride he had for his children and loved being "Pop". When thinking of heaven and his life here on earth, his favorite saying was "I'm a winner either way." This tells of Chucks certainty of his eternal home with his Savior.
Chuck is survived by his wife Becki; sons Charly Fowler (Shelly), Walt Fowler (Christy), Danny Harris (Ashley), Christopher Alexander; daughters Staci Fowler, Nikki Fowler (Jeremy); grandchildren Mallory Holland, Zoe Claire Fowler, Hadley Harris, Cadyn Joyner, Caleb Fowler and Ethan Fowler. He is also survived by his brother Al Fowler (Jewel) and special brother Butch Harris along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Edwin and Mary Ruth Fowler.
