Charles James

Charles “Peanut” James passed away in his home October 3^rd, 2023. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, October 5th at Meridian Memorial Park beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastors Daniel Fortenberry and Caleb Wright will officiate.

Born in Meridian MS., he served his country in the Air Force before he began his career working for the Kansas City Southern Railroad in which he retired from after 30 years. He also was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Meridian.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years Jennifer Warren James, sister Dolores Cheatwood, sons: Tony James (Angie) of Bailey MS., Donald James (Georgia) of Huntsville AL., and Eric James (Sherry) of Bailey MS. Grandchildren: Mitch James Heather Beagles (Blake), Nick James (Megan), Dustin James (Sidney), and Heather Anders. Great grandchildren Addie, Collins, Everett, Naomi, Ella, Talon, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Faith Baptist Church, Gideons International, or a faith-based organization of your choice.
