Mr. Charles E. Yates

Memorial services for Mr. Charles E. Yates will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yates, age 68, of Meridian, passed away on March 10, 2013 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He retired from The Meridian Star as a paper carrier. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends. He was always ready to tell a good story and have a good time. Family would like to make a special thanks to the ICU, CCU, and 5th Floor East of Anderson Hospital for their great care.

He is survived by his Daughters, Nikki Rawson and her husband Scotty, Amanda Griffin and her husband Doc Sons, Jay Yates and his wife Amy, Andy Yates and his wife Karen by his grandchildren, Josh Yates, Kent Yates, Reagan Bohl, Colton Bohl, Chloe Griffin, Zach Griffin, and Chad Rawson Sister, Velma Yates Brother, Chas Yates and by a special friend, Faye Cochran his best friend, Malcolm Whitehead and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludie and Albert Yates Sisters, Hazel, Erma, Bonnie, Bernice, and a baby sister Shirley and one Brother, Buford.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 1:00 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made to Blair E. Batson Childrens Hospital or the Wounded Warriors project.
