Christopher Eugene Douglas

    Christopher Eugene Douglas, 53, of Toomsuba, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones.

     Chris was born to Eugene Ralph Douglas and Florence Marie (Collier) Joiner on September 19, 1971, in Dallas, TX. Chris will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, and friend. He was known to have the kindest and giving heart, always helping those in need whenever he could. When it came to his grandchildren, he had a magic about him; they simply adored him. He was the master of the dad joke and could always relieve any situation with his brand of humor. Every night, he kissed his wife’s photo before going to bed. His family rests in the assurance that as he closed eyes here on earth, he opened them in Heaven to see his Lord and his beloved Tiffany. 

     Chris was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tiffany D. Douglas; his father, Eugene Ralph Douglas; and his brother, Frankie Douglas.

     He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Kindal Douglas (Megg Anne), Caitlyn Douglas Aughtman (Daniel Coty), and Laura Douglas Williams (Vesper); his mother, Florence Marie Joiner; and a legacy of five grandchildren, JC, Bo Alan, Ian, Aurora, and Josey Pearl.

     A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, beginning at 2pm, at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Eric Mabbot officiating the service. 

     Serving as Pallbearers for Chris’ service will be Kindal Douglas, Ronnie Dement, Daniel Aughtman, Oreon Williams, Tony Douglas, Alan Higgason, Jaren Taylor, and Wyatt Salisbury.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Chris’ honor to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity of your choice.
