Claire Wagner

Mrs. Claire L. Wagner, 92, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Bedford Care of Marion.

Claire worked at the family business, Wagner Heat and Air Conditioning, for many years. She enjoyed dancing, playing bridge, and making candy for family and friends, especially during the holidays. She was also a member of Briarwood County Club and a faithful member of Marion United Methodist Church. She will be most remembered for being a devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother as is being witnessed by the outpouring of love from so many family members and friends.

Mrs. Wagner is survived by her children, Joey Wagner (Jean), Ronnie Wagner (Pam), and Wendy Al-tekruse (Mark); grandchildren, Frankie Wagner, Amy Langlois, Sarah Simoneau, Lydia Savell, Leslie Bol-ing, and Alex, Emily, and Max Altekruse; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Daye Lackey Tinnin: and numer-ous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joel Franklin Wagner Jr; and parents, Frank Lackey and Grace Lackey Todd, her stepmother Mary Walton Lackey, her sister Betsy Lackey Rawson and her brother Frank Ivy Lackey Jr.

A private family service for Claire L. Wagner will be held graveside at a later date.
