Services for Claudia Harper Hurt will be held Thursday at 2pm at Webb Chapel with Bro. Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Rawson Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hurt, 87, of Flowood, died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She worked with AT&T for 38 years and retired in 1987.

She is survived by her son, Jim Hurt and wife Debbie; son in law, Kevin Moore; granddaughters, Missy Tharp and husband Rudy, and Kristi Vernon and husband Zach; great grandchildren, Ellis, Hayes, Anna Ballard, and Mazy Tharp, and Delaney, Grey, and Knox Vernon; sisters, Ann Whitehead, Patsy Barnhurst, Marilyn Hamby, and Carolyn Boykin; brother, Leo Harper and wife Dena; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hurt; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Moore; parents, Alonza and Beulah Harper; brothers, Harold, Mack, and Walton Harper; sisters, Mardell Harper, Margie Moak, Juanita Clark McGarth, and Peggy Mathis.
