Services for Clyde Donald Moffett Sr. will be held Thursday, at 10 a.m., at Webb Chapel with Bro. Richie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Moffett, 85, died Monday, June 25, 2012, in Meridian. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and served as deacon for 37 years. He was an Army veteran and served during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Farrior and her husband James of Meridian daughterinlaw, Dana Moffett of Jacksonville, Fla. granddaughters: Tiffany Britt of Meridian, and Lisa Mordecai and her husband David of Jacksonville, Fla. greatgrandchildren: Hilary Rodgers and her husband Brian of Charleston, S.C., Kaitlyn Mordecai and Connor Mordecai of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mackenzie Britt and Parker Britt of Meridian greatgreatgrandson, Marcus Rodgers of Charleston, S.C. sister, Bettie Martin and, brothers: Bobby Moffett and Billy Moffett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Moffett parents, Corbin and Myrtie Moffett son, Donny Moffett brothers: Lavelle Moffett, Ray Moffett, A.D. Moffett, and Arliss Moffett and, sisters: Doris Hall and Vaudie Merle Moffett.
Pallbearers will be Varnell Warren, Tony Poole, Raymond McKinion, Wayne Coley, Bobby Cooper, Andy Jones, Gary Stokes, and Dale Richard.
Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Westwood Baptist Church and his nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Westwood Baptist Church, Special Projects Fund, 1224 65th Avenue, Meridian, MS 39307.
The family would like to thank Poplar Springs Nursing Center, Aldersgate Personal Care and Rush Hospital for all their care and support.
