Curtis E. Saxton
Services for Curtis E. Saxton will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at Webb Chapel with Chuck Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the City of Newton Masonic Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Saxton, 90, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Oaks Rehabilitation Healthcare Center. He was a veteran of World War II and was the president of the Civil Service Draft Board. He also played football at Ms. State University.
He is survived by his son, Trippy Saxton and his wife Cheryl of Flower Mound, Texas daughter, Vickie Strong of Loganville, Georgia grandchildren, Gregg Allard, Kaylee Saxton, Robbie Strong, and Nickie Nault great grandchildren, Harper Allard, Autumn Nault, Hunter Strong, and Frankie Strong and his sisters, Betty Lawrence of Louisville, and Virginia Simmons of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Rosemary P. Saxton.
Pallbearers will be Neva Rush, Allison Slayton, Cyndy Howarth, David Burns, Ken Hall Barnett, and Al Yochim.
