David Joiner

Services for David Leroy Joiner will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Hutchinson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021, at James F. Webb Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and thirty minutes prior to service at the church.

Mr. Joiner passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.

Mr. Joiner was a Mason and a Shriner. He was employed at Magnolia Steel Inc for 28 years as a diesel truck mechanic. He was a jack of all trades, working on tractors, heavy equipment, and automobiles. He loved NASCAR, car Shows, and bike rallies. He enjoyed meeting people and never met a stranger. It has been said there is no one who could take Leroy’s place. He was one of a kind. He would help you anyway he could and that meant helping fix stuff over the phone. He will be greatly missed, “Hilter” to some, “Delray” to others, and “Leroy” to everyone.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Joiner; daughter, Helena Marie “Lani” Joiner; son, Thomas Leroy “Tommy” Joiner; brother, Lewis “BJ” Joiner; sister-in-law, Ginger Minchew (Mike); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and Marie Joiner; sister, Bessie Joiner; brothers, Jesse “J.E.” Joiner and Robert “Bobby” Joiner; stepbrother, Gene Anderson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvel and Helen Davidson.

Pallbearers will include Trey Minchew, Alec Minchew, Ricky Breland, Gary Minchew, Jody Minchew, Randy “PaPaw” Harrison, Jo Jo Harrison, Corey Minchew, and Patrick Kirby.
