Funeral services for Debbie McRae will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Webb & Stephens – DeKalb, with Bro. Chris Gully officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lynville Cemetery. Webb & Stephens is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Ms. McRae, age 63, of Blackwater, passed away June 13 at Anderson’s Hospital.

Debbie was born in Meridian, Mississippi and raised in Blackwater in Kemper County, and graduated from Kemper Academy. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman who cherished her family and friends and loved being in her garden, which she called her “happy place”.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Erin Malone (Johnny) and son, James Coleman (Stephanie); granddaughters, Skyler Coleman, Shada Coleman and Sutton Coleman and grandsons, Myles Kilgore and Camdon Coleman; brother, Chuck Sanders (Donna); two nieces and her special friend, Jimmy Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Mickey” and Barbara Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Josh “Hoss” Gambill, Keith Coleman, Billy Cade, Billy Holloway, Andy Jenkins and Carl Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Ty Gambill and Zach Gambill.
