D.L. Curtis
Services for Mr. D. L. Curtis will be held Friday at 3pm at Toomsuba Baptist Church with Rev. David Caves officiating. Burial will be in Toomsuba Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Curtis, 89, of Toomsuba, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at his residence. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army. Mr. Curtis lived most of his adult life in the Meridian area and was active in several local churches and local youth sports programs.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jeanne his daughters, Pat Roberts David of Germantown, Tenn., and Donna Hinson Jackie of Toomsuba sons, Donald Curtis Annette of Arvada, Colorado, and Craig Curtis Leah of Peoria, Illinois grandchildren, Heather, Olivia, Blake, Anna, and Galen great grandchildren, Nathan, Reagan, Braden, Jordyn, and Noah and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents 14 siblings and one great grandchild, Kullen.
Pallbearers will be Blake McMullen, Douglas Harrington, Chris Egbert, Jeremy Collins, Daniel Lagrone, Matt Cole, and Jamie Caves. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Mens Sunday School Class at Toomsuba Baptist Church.
The family requests memorials be made to Toomsuba Baptist Church or the Toomsuba Cemetery Association.
