Doris Hood Fields
Doris Hood Fields was handed over to Jesus by her children at the age of 72 in her home surrounded by peace and music on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

A celebration of her life will be hosted by her loving church family at Midway Baptist Church Thursday, May 19 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Michael Bird and Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. Times of visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 18 at Webb Funeral Home in Meridian, MS and 12:00 pm Thursday at Midway Baptist Church before the service begins. Graveside service will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Pallbearers are Barrett Ramia, Michael Cummins, Bryce Butler, Trey Chaudron, Wayne Eason, Butch Flanagan, Joel Harrison, Jeff Lane, Dale Nicholas and Flint Tedder.

Her legacy will be carried on by Marsha Fields Ramia and her husband Joe of Meridian, MS, Michael Fields and his wife Liz of Minneapolis, MN, Becca Fields Welker and her husband Danny of Nashville, TN, her grandchildren Lacey Fields, Annalee Storey, Victoria Fields, Barrett Ramia, Savannah Cummins, Katie Grace Cummins, Michael Cummins, Anniston Cummins, and six great grandchildren.

She was eagerly greeted by her husband of 47 years, Billy S. Fields, her sister, Louise H. Farrell, her brother, James H. Hood and her parents, Ray H. and Jewel W. Hood.
