Doris Price Talbert French, age 99 of Meridian went to be with the Lord on Saturday Feb. 27th. She was a devoted Christian and long time member of Abundant Life Church. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She had a giving heart and loving nature and will be remembered for her kindness and devotion to family and others.
She was born Feb. 16, 1922 in Noxapater, MS to Eddie L. and Carrie Byrd Price. Her Mother died when She was 2 of Pneumonia and she was raised by her grandparents. She is preceded in death by husband Lt. Hugh L. Talbert who was killed in WW II and Husband Rev. Glover George French. Also deceased grandson Hugh L. Talbert Iii and brother Dr. James H. Price.
She is survived by daughters Brenda Joyce Gladis of Ocala, Fl. and Betty French Springer of Meridian. , and Son Hugh L."Pete" Talbert (Sue) of Alabaster, AL. Granddaughters Susan Gladis Stonebeck of Westfield, NJ, Jill Gladis Burd of Princeton, NJ, grandsons Brent L. Talbert of Alabaster, AL and Francis (Frankie) Springer of Madison, MS. She is also survived by 12 Great Grand Children as well as numerous neices, nephews, cousins, and inlaws.
The family wishes to thank Peggy Reed for her friendship and loving care over the last 3 years. We would also like to thank the staff at Brookdale and Compassus nurses and staff.
