Graveside services for Dorothy Brewster Creel will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:30am at Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Keller officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to service at the church. James F. Webb Funeral in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Creel, 89, passed away on February 15, 2018 in Texas. She was a longtime member of St. Johns United Methodist Church and served for 40 years as a Red Cross and VA Administrator in Yazoo and Holmes county. She was known as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was very active in church in various compacities and with family gatherings. She enjoyed serving her community, traveling and working her crossword puzzles.
She is preceded in by her husband, Andrew Jackson Creel; her sons: James Creel and Rayford Creel; stepdaughters: Agnes Creel and Jackie Faye Grady; a stepson, Roger Creel and a grandson, Lee Miller.
She is survived by her son Billy Creel; daughter, Becky Miller, sister, Lena Linton and stepson, Wayne Creel; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials made be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
