Services for Mr. Eddie S. Broadway Sr. were held on Friday, March 6, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Dabbs and Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Interment was in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Broadway, age 79, passed away on February 27, 2015 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Broadway was a member and deacon of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired after working 20 years with Smith Bakery. He loved to fish and hunt. He was a loving husband, father and a devoted child of the Lord. He will be greatly missed, however, his earthly realm is over and he dwells in the house of the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rita Broadway; Children, Eddie S. Broadway Jr. (Pearla), James R. Broadway, Theresa Crocker (Nick), Christopher Broadway (Regina); Six Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren; Brother, Evan D. Broadway.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Ailleen Raines Broadway; Sisters, Hazel Thrash and Gracie H. Garcia; Brother, James H. Broadway; and a grandson, Lindsey.
