Mrs. Pickard passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 surrounded by her family at the age of 92. She was born on December 2, 1922 in Philadelphia, MS; the daughter of Gordon and Ida McKay. Material things were never important to her. Her desire was always to give to others. She loved sharing her homemade jellies and preserves with others. She made hundreds of "Cross in my pocket" and gave them lovingly to others. She was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. If the doors of the church were open, she was there, whether she felt good or not. She helped with Vacation Bible School through the age of 91. A special thanks to her caregivers; Anna Agent "Precious Agent (Baby)", Margie Watkin and Harpers Hospice.
She is survived by her daughters, Paulette Pickard, Marie Beatty (Ken); Sons, Jackie Pickard, Ray Pickard (Betsy) and David Pickard (Kathy); Seven Grandchildren, Jennifer Webb, Angie Pickard, Craig Turner, Karen Elmore (John), Josh Beatty, Mark Quimby (Katie) and Laura Pickard; Six Great Grandchildren, Hogan Turner, Nolan Turner, Jesse Elmore, Preston Webb, Ethan Webb, and Miller Quimby; Three Sisters, Alice Fulton, Bobbie Cumberland, and Madeline Strahan (Wiley); Two Brothers, James Mckay (Geniva) and Haywood McKay (Walterine).
