Edwin Lee Currence

Services for Edwin Currence will be held Saturday at 11 am at Webb Chapel with Dr. Reid Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Kewanee Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Currence, 72, of Meridian, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his residence. He served in the United States Marine Corp and Air Force. He was employed by the City of Meridian for a number of years.

Survivors include his sisters, Faye Odom, Ann Burt and husband Joe, and Joyce Jones nieces and nephews, Pattie Poythress, Randy Skipper and wife Kristie, Joey Burt and fianc Jamie Carlisle, Jerry Burt and wife Cindy, Anita Jones, Debra Atkins and husband Terry, and Jerry Jones and wife Carolyn one aunt, Joyce Wright and a number of great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Cecil and Evelyn Currence brother, Jerry Currence and sister, Shirley Currence.

Pallbearers will be Joe Burt, Randy Skipper, Joey Burt, Skyler Lewis, Aaron Skipper, and Conor Atkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Burt and Ethan Skipper.
