Services for Mr. Elmer Junior Cosby will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the 1st Baptist Church of Lake with Rev. Ken McLemore officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery at 1 p.m. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cosby, age 89, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Rush Hospital in Meridian. Mr. Cosby was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Lake, Member of VFW Post 3996, he served in the United States Air Force, and was retired after many years from Rileys Hospital Maintenance Department. After retirement he went to work at WalMart in Newton where he worked in the flower department. Elmer was a friendly, outgoing person, most people who knew him referred to him as the energizer bunny because he was always doing something. He was the type of person who never met a stranger and he had a servants heart, giving and helping complete strangers when they were in need. He was a good, caring person who loved to Square Dance he was a member of the Patchwork Squares and Shooting Stars dance groups. He also loved to do yard work, cutting grass and weedeating even working up to the last couple of days before his death.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Warren Cosby of Lake, MS Three Step Children, Nancy Federick and her husband Ricky of Lake, MS, Robert Earl Warren and his wife Mary of Prattville, AL and Bobby Joe Warren and his wife Jinni of Prattville, AL Ten 10 Grandchildren Fourteen 14 Great Grandchildren Three 3 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Cosby his parents, Elmer and Ethel Cosby Son, Elmer Cosby Jr. and several siblings.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1st Baptist Church of Lake from 9:30 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to your favorite charity.
