A graveside service for Eloise Hatch Herrington will be held Friday, February 12, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in entrusted with the arrangements.

Eloise Hatch Herrington peacefully entered her heavenly home Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Poplar Springs nursing center. She was born in Scott County, MS on May 1, 1933.

She met and married the love of her life, Boleyn Herrington of Martin, MS on October 28, 1950. She worked at Meyer Rosenbaum Insurance for over 30 years, while also serving in Grover Burnett Eastern Starr for many years where she was Worthy Matron. She also enjoyed being a Mes Amie mom. She was a devoted member of Antioch Southern Methodist Church and had a great love for her church and all its members. After retiring, Eloise pursued her love of the outdoors and could be found working in her flower beds or cutting grass on her riding lawn mower. Eloise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her family deeply and will be dearly missed by them.

Eloise is survived by her daughter Teresa Rutledge (Mike), son Glenn Herrington (Julie), grandchildren Jason Rutledge (Amy), Hailey Tucker (Nick), Jessica Princell (Derek), Horton Nash, Mary Elizabeth Herrington (fiance Grey), and Bo; great grandchildren Katie Rutledge (boyfriend Ryan), Brett Rutledge, Zoe Rutledge, Bryce Rutledge, Mary Haddox Tucker, Swayze Tucker, Acie Princell, Luke Princell; brother in law Jack Mears, sisters in law Brenda Crenshaw, Linda Webb, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Boleyn Herrington, parents Theodore Preston Hatch, Louise Houston Hatch, sister Doris Mears, and sister Patricia Norman.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the staff and caregivers of Poplar Springs Nursing Center for the love and care they shown her during a tumultuous time for families and nursing center personnel, the love and dedication shown to Mrs. Herrington and her family will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider donating to Antioch Southern Methodist Church Building Fund.
