Mrs. Esther Brown Northam

Service for Esther Brown Northam will be held Monday at 11am in the chapel of James F. Webb Funeral Home with Dr. Raymond Leake and Rev. David McCubbin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.

Mrs. Northam of Meridian died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Regency Hospital. She was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church Meridian. She had served her Lord and church in many capacities throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class and was a faithful member of the Sanctuary Choir for many years. During the years working outside the home, she worked as an accountant. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and sewing. She will be missed by family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Carey L. Northam and wife Anita of Seattle, WA.; a sister, Pauline B. Caraway of Meridian; a step-brother, Glenwood E. Martin and wife Peggy of Meridian; Half-siblings, Carolyn Moulds of Florence, MS, Dianne Dennard and husband J.E., and Sherry Toole both of Macon, GA; sister in law, Jo Carol Brown of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. (BO) Northam, Jr.; her parents, Selby H. Brown and Mary Hataway Brown; step-mother Helen Goldman Brown; grandparents, Herbert Clell Brown and Beulah Pace Brown; and half-siblings.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Caraway, Stephen Martin, J.E. Dennard, Danny Palmer, Jerry Moulds, and T.C. Glover. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Dennard, Matt Dennard, and Jim Palmer.
