Services for Mrs. Ethel B. Creel will be held Tuesday at 11 am at Webb Chapel with Rev. Tommy Jones and Rev. Albert A. Creel officiating. Burial will be in the Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Creel, 98, of Meridian, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at her residence. She was a longtime member and one of the oldest members of Hebron Baptist Church. She loved hunting and fishing, and at age 89 she killed two deer with a muzzle loader, and continued to hunt until age 94. She lived by the motto: Your name will go places your face will never be seen.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. Albert A. Creel and wife Marilyn, and Jesse F. Creel of Meridian daughters, Mildred McCary and husband R.C.,and Lois Rawson McCary and husband Austin, both of Meridian, Sadie Sam Martin of Pascagoula, and Ruth Tucker and husband Jerry of Meridian 27 Grandchildren 54 Great Grandchildren 30 Great Great Grandchildren 4 Great Great Great Grandchildren Daughter in laws, Martha Creel Simons and Sara Creel sister in law, Hellon Irby Barnhill of Warner Robbins, Georgia and numerous nieces and newphews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cebron Horace Creel, Sr. sons, Marvin Creel and Cebron H. Creel, Jr. parents, Winster Bunyard and Annie Johnson Bunyard Cato brother, Arthur Bunyard and sisters, Jessie Jones, Willie Mae Ivy, Mary Raley, and Claudia Mae Creel.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Keith Creel, Gerald Creel, Derek Creel, Dewayne Creel, Robert Rawson, Jr., and William Randy Rawson.
Visitation will be Monday from 58 pm at the funeral home.
