Services for Ethel Bailey Simmons Thorne will be held, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:30 am at Causeyville Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary McInnis, Ronnie Adams and Bill Webb officiating. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thorne, 94, of Lauderdale County died Wednesday in her home. She was a member of Causeyville Baptist Church.

She was a strong Christian who loved Jesus. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and shared her meals with many, many people. She always enjoyed a game of dominoes and raising a garden.

Survivors include her daughters, Sarah Hare (Danny), Jan Pickett (Ronnie); Grandchildren, Robert Smith, Hearndell Smith (Ashley), Alex Pickett ( Shannon), Mandy Berdami (Josh) and Daniel Pickett; Great Grandchildren Kenley Smith, Marley Pickett an d Charlie Kate Berdami; Sisters Lucy Carter and Norma Jean Williams; Several Nieces, Nephews and a special friend Nancy Carter.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hearndell Simmons and James H. Thorne; Parents, Ollie and Sarah Bailey; Brothers Martin Bailey, Lamar Bailey and Riddell Bailey; Sisters Lois Long and Ruby Herrod.

Pallbearers will be Hearndell Smith, Alex Pickett, Daniel Pickett, Ricky Roberts, Thomas Williams and Louis Mabry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Danny Hare, Ronnie Pickett, Donald Carter, James Carter and Mike Scarbrough.

Visitation will be Friday 5:00-7:00 pm at James F Webb Funeral Home and 30 Minutes prior to service Saturday at Causeyille Baptist Church.
