Eva Joyce Netherland Mooneyham was born on August 17, 1950, in Columbia, Mississippi. On June 19, 1969, she was united in holy matrimony to Q.T. "Gene" Mooneyham, Jr. and together they were blessed with four daughters, ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, to whom she was lovingly known as "Mamaw." She passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Mamaw loved spending time with her family and her best friend, Carolyn Cobb Webb. She found joy in making others laugh, and it was impossible to be bored when she was around. She was a faithful disciple of the Lord and cherished her church family at 3S Cowboy Church. Mamaw's life serves as an excellent example of the sacrificial, selfless love of Jesus Christ. Her life is fondly remembered and cherished by her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Gena Harris of Jackson, MS; Melissa McClure (Scott) of Enterprise, MS; Mandy Kleinman (Tom) of Katy, TX; and Shonda Slayton of Meridian, MS. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shane Holloman (Taylor) of Hattiesburg, MS; John Robert Harris, Jr. (Brianna) of Carrollton, MS; Corey McClure of Enterprise, MS; Zoie McClure of Hattiesburg, MS; Jake and Josh Kleinman of Katy, TX; Kenleigh and Jace Slayton of Meridian, MS; Emma and Anna McHann of Mathiston, MS; her great-granddaughter Anna Rae McHann of Mathiston, MS; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless others who came to cherish her as their own Mamaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her father, James Shelby Netherland; her mother, Eddie Rae Netherland; and her brothers, James Earl Netherland, Jimmy Wayne Netherland, Allen Netherland, and Curtis Ray Netherland.
