Graveside Services for Mrs. Evelyn V. Burkhalter will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burkhalter, age 87 of Meridian, Died Thursday, February 5, 2009 in Athen, TN. She was born April 6, 1921 in Meridian.

She is survived by her daughters JoAnn Coulter of Milton, Fl; Dale Hooper of Athen, TN; and Elaine Clarke of North Fork, CA. Sister, Ruby Z. Nelson of Meridian, MS. Brother, Clayborne Robinson and wife Helen of Lake Charles, LA. Sisters-in-Law, Marjorie Davison of Meridian; Lousie Robinson Blakeney of Milton, FL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Morris P. Burkhalter;mother, Desma Z. Collier Robinson Pickard;Father, Grover Niolon Robinson; son-in-law, Russell G. Coulter; Brother, Ezra Miolin Robinson; Sister, Thelma Fuller Capers and Opal Catlett Gunn.
