Graveside services for Florine D. Harmon will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1:00pm at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Rick Pigott officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Harmon, age 91, of Meridian, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was one of the original players of the Womens Baseball League, as depicted in the movie A League of Their Own. She was a lifetime member of the NRA, member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion. She retired after 37 years from The Birmingham News and was a member of The First Christian Church in Birmingham, AL. She was an avid hunter and fisherperson.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Chisolm three special nieces and nephews numerous nieces and nephews and special half nieces and nephews special friends, Jennifer and Alex London.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nellie Harmon and four brothers.
