Frances Lee Davis, 81, of Meridian, passed away at her home on the evening of Saturday, September 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was born to Lieut. Colonel Joseph R. Brantley and Edna Clarice (Faucette) Brantley on June 3, 1943, in Orangeburg, SC. Frances will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother, beautiful both inside and out. Frances was passionate not only about her family, but for all animals, and she devoted much time and care to rescuing them. She was a courageous fighter; Southern lady strong and lived her life her way. After receiving the cancer diagnosis last November, she gave the fight of all time. Frances was a wonderfully spiritual woman who put all of her faith in the Lord. As she closed her eyes here on earth, she awoke in the arms of Jesus, fully and wholly healed.
Frances is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Joseph H. Davis; her daughter, LeeAnn Monroe and husband, SFC Steven James Monroe; and her sister, Beverly Ann Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lieut. Colonel Joseph R. and Edna Clarice Brantley; and her granddaughter, Amber Nichole Vital.
Graveside Services for Frances will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at Magnolia Cemetery, beginning at 2pm with Rev. Bob Followell officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to the Roadside Rescue Network or to the charity of your choice.
The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North is grateful for the opportunity to honor Frances’s life and memory and to serve her loving family during this time.
