Mrs. Frances Simmons SparacinoBRBRGraveside services for Mrs. Frances Sparacino will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Allan Singletary officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
BRMrs. Sparacino, 87, of Meridian, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Meridian. She was a member, elder and pianist of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano. She was retired from Sears CatalogTeletype department and a member of the Sears Retiree Club.Before moving back to Meridian, she was a former employee of I.C.S.Sears and a member of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church. She had a special smile and always saw the good in people, she never meet a stranger.BRBRSurvivors include her sons: Nicholas Patrick Sparacino and wife, Phyllis of Old Forge, PA; William Kelly Sparacino and wife, Joyce of Alabaster, AL; Julian Lee Sparacino of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers: John Simmons and wife, Nellie of Meridian, MS; Armond Simmons and wife, Lydia of Pell City, AL; a sister, Margaret Jackson and husband, Jay of Hattiesburg, MS; six grandchildren: Nicole Brennan and husband, Paul; Jessica Sparacino of Alexandria, VA; Jamie Sparacino and Joseph Sparacino both of Alabaster, AL; Julian Sparacino of Havertown, PA and Matthew Sparacino of Scranton, PA; one great grandchild, Brenna Sparacino; sisters-in-law: Rita, Irene and Theresa Sparacino, Mary Mifka and Nancy Martinez; brother-in-law, Richard Sparacino and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Patrick Duke Sparacino; parents: Robert Kelly and Madaline Carter Simmons; brothers: Marion Lee Simmons, Dr. Tommy Simmons and William Simmons; sisters: Evelyn Sykes and Maryann Shannon; sister-in-law, Marilyn Simmons and brothers-in-law: James Sykes , George Shannon, Joseph, Anthony, Philip, Ralph and John Sparacino.
Visitation will be before service from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
