Francis Moody

Graveside services for Francis G. Moody will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Meridian Memorial Park, with the Revs. Sam Hull and Richard Williams officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Moody, 81, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Union Methodist Church. Mr. Moody was loved by his family and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Survivors includ his wife of 52 years, Ruth Moody; two sons, Francis J. Moody and his wife, Rita, of Benton, La, and Douglas E. Moody and his wife, Julie, of Collinsville; four grandchildren, Jeffery Moody and his wife, Mary Ann, Tammy Smith and her husband, Keith, Cameron Moody and Cade Moody; four great-grandchildren, Tucker Smith, Tessa Smith, Chrissie Moody and Madison Moody; a sister, Jean Honeycutt of Valdosta, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Connie Moody of Jackson and Mary Moody of Florence, Ala.; a nephew, Jack Newell of DeKalb; and a special niece, Lara Lee of Meridian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Francis and Beulah Newell Moody; two brothers, O.N. Moody and Robert Moody; and a special cousin, Ann Belvin White. Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
