Frank Null

Services for Frank O. Null, Sr. will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roy Garrett and C.A. Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery on Minnow Bucket Road. Mr. Null, age 71, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, in his home. He was retired from the U. S. Navy and also a retired business owner. He served in the military from July 5, 1953, to September 17, 1973, with the U.S. Navy's 101st Airborne Division and 82nd D Division Airborne and retired with numerous decorations. He was born in Meridian on March 17, 1937, and spent his youth in East End. He was a life long member of the Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and The American Legion. Mr. Null was known for his loyalty and generosity to his community. Survivors include his soul mate, Cheryl Alexander; her children, Berry Alexander and Nikki Alexander; his first wife, Hilda Booth; their daughter, Susie Russell; his second wife, Nell Null; their children, Franklin Edward Null, and Alan Null; sisters Ernestine Gentry of Albany, Ga., and Peggy Hill of Laurel; grandchildren, Todd Russell, Leo Null, Kendra Null, Hayden Null, Cade Null and Christopher Alexander and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Null and mother, Lottie Dillard; a daughter, Debbie Null and a son, Frank O. Null, Jr. and grandson, Tyler Russell. Pallbearers will be Berry Alexander, John Week, Micheal Lee, Ben Miller, Terry Walker, Kevin Brewster. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Boswell, David Lee, Gale Mitchell, Benny Neal, Jim Edwards, Rod Edwards, Jeremy Street, Tanner Street , Sonny Cunningham, Jerry Skelton, Buddy Rose, Joe Tanner and Donald Reece.
