Mr. Fred "Poppa" Albert Frey Jr., 72, of Stonewall, MS went to be home with our Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. He was born November 6, 1946 to the late Nola Bradley and Fred Frey Sr. Fred proudly served in the United Stares army in his younger years. He went on to retire from General Motors and for the past several years, served as an active alderman for the town of Stonewall. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church for over 41 years. He was the devoted husband of his cherished wife, Barbara, for 38 years while she was with him on this earth and he continued his devotion beyond the loss of her.
He was known mostly to others as Mr. Fred but to his closest family and friends, he was known as Freddie, Uncle Freddie, Daddy, and Poppa. He embraced every name given to him with diligence that showed his unquestionable loyalty and adoration. He had the greatest silent laugh and a loving heart. He was an excellent man and steadily lived a Christ-like life. Though he was often a quiet man, the words he did speak were always filled with kindness and respect.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina "Tina" (Ricky) Hamrick; son, Keith Frey; granddaughter, and Poppa's heart, Grace Frey and her mother Stacie Frey; sister, Peggy (Webb) Moore; nieces, Debbie Finlayson and Diana (Gary) Lewis; nephews, Dale (Stephanie) Moore and David (Jane) Moore; along with great nieces, nephews, and his "boys" Bo-Bo and Little Bit.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Barbara Frey, and Beloved son, Johnny Frey.
